Day 25 of The MAD Challenge and the countdown is most definitely on towards the end of the month. As I enjoy the varied sights and sounds of London I’m greeted with darkness for my morning miles.
Today’s start was again in darkness but thankfully it was dry. There was a lot of heavy rain throughout yesterday, yet again I was fortunate enough to be greeted with a dry morning. It appeared as though we’d been without rain for most of the night.
I took my ibuprofen first thing before setting off, just as a precaution.
I can certainly still feel the hip injury as I cover my daily mile, however the discomfort is now noticeably less. The fact it is still there makes me wary and not wanting to begin running again too soon.
My walking posture was also significantly improved this morning. This really pleases me too. However since I’m not performing warm up stretches (because I’m not running) my right calf did feel some of the strain today.
I altered my route from yesterday. Instead of circling the nearby park I decided to walk to the nearest tube station. I might be using it later in the week so I wanted to get a feel for the distance (just over half a mile to get there).
You might recall that yesterday I noticed a lady out walking her dogs whilst still wearing pyjamas. Well yes, she was out again today in the exact same attire. I wonder if she got dressed at all yesterday?
However today’s morning entertainment award goes to a couple at a bus stop. They were having a domestic at 5:20am and he was ably assisted by an opened can of Strongbow in his right hand. Oh the joys of the sights and sounds of London town.
