Day 21 Results Of The MAD Challenge #themadchallenge

I’ll have to keep Day 21 of The MAD Challenge brief. I’m about to check out of my Norwegian hotel and head to the airport so I have very little time.

Whilst my hip was painful yesterday morning it seemed to ease over the afternoon. To one point in the late afternoon I was moving more freely than I have in a week. I was beginning to become hopefully that recovery was well on the way.

Then I went out for dinner last night. Naturally I spent most of my time sat down and I honestly can’t think of anything to aggravate my hip injury. Yet somehow that half a mile walk back to the hotel was filled with excruciating pain. I’ve no idea why. It took me 20 minutes plus to walk that half mile, simply because I had to keep stopping because of the pain.

When I awoke this morning the pain had eased a little but was still present. I still felt able enough to go for a walk.

I was then frustrated outside since my watch took maybe 5 minutes to find a GPS signal. Normally it is a matter of seconds to a minute. For some reason the GPS wasn’t working well today.

Towards the end of my walk I glanced a few times at my watch. Sometimes the distance / pace just wasn’t showing whilst the time still was. This proved to me that the GPS signal was not being recorded in patches. I’ve no idea why or if this has any impact on the minutes per mile it records.

The walk with the injury was another challenge to push on through.

I also saw at least 3 joggers whilst I was out this morning. I looked on with envy and want to be able to run again.
